There are some really good answers here. Avoiding wordiness morality is getting down to a spiritual understanding. The body is temporal to start with. Morality begins with the issue of base sense enjoyment. Base sense enjoyment is eating and sxx. Is our eating and sxx in harmony with our true eternal self?
Thus we have morality. Our eating and sxx needs to be in harmony with our eternal self. If not, our eating and sxx might be considered immoral.
I was surprised so many were ready, willing and able to discuss this topic. Thanks!

Sometimes it is difficult to believe anyone really cares about morality in today's society. There seems to be so much neglect of this concern.
I suppose the concerns there are in human society for morality has to do with the probable fact that many people still believe in higher powers that can't be easily seen as well as an after-life. When a tornado strikes sometimes people think it has to do with the will of higher powers. Some people think that immorality may make us more vulnerable to castrophes like this.
Similarly, some people believe that immorality may result in bad things happening in this life and in the next. We may wind up in some kind of hell after death. Or we may take birth in some kind of hellish condition or lower life form.
So the truth is the morality issue has to do with our true eternal self. Acting and working in harmony with our eternal self must mean turning away from too much unhealthy enjoyment of the material senses.

okay Morality: I could paste you a textbook or dictionary definition, but I think it's more useful to answer it in these terms...
Morality is a set of rules or CODE, that are predicated on the private/public GOOD. When you're NOT thinking with your shorts, when your not Doing things that HURT other to further your personal agenda.
Example, It's just PLAIN WRONG to mistreat an animal, to do so, when you've had a bad day "helps" you, but is MORALLY wrong.
Morality and society? Well obviously the more people we have " doin' " other people for their own selfish good, the worst society is. And SOCIETY is the aggregate of the parts forming a whole (act locally, affect globally)
Sex, is an arena where MORAL JUDGMENT most effect the participants. With sex, hopefully there is INTIMACY, and as such the ability to HURT / DO WRONG - another is more pronounced. That's why the two are often linked. I could give specific examples from MY life. But People who have really screwed up lives, after an affair... are suddenly aware: "OH.... is THIS why the 'rules' are such as they are!"

Morality and Yoga.
Try reading the writings of John Lennon on the subject. I don't know if copies still exist but it centers on meditation and spiritual awareness as a guide to balance between you and the universe. In other words, oneness. This is more of an eastern philosophy question than a western philosophy question. Simply state you get back what you give off, so; if you give off anger and hostility society will give it back to you in kind. Sex is a limited contact, normally one on one. Society as a whole is a difuse contact effecting you on multiple levels. If you give off only love then it will seem that everything centers around sex as masculine and feminine work to balance one another form outside and within. You could read some Freud if it helps and some Tao. The key here is balance. Achieve it and you should be fine.

Ethics.
Morality deals with that which is regarded as right or wrong. The term is used in regard to three contexts: individual conscience, systems of principles and judgments, sometimes called moral values, shared within a cultural, religious, secular, Humanist or philosophical community and codes of behavior or conduct derived from these systems.
Personal morality defines and distinguishes among right and wrong intentions, thoughts or actions. Human conscience is widely acknowledged to encourage individuals to do right; its origins and role are the subject of much discussion. Belief in an effective system of divine judgment often helps with personal motivation, as classically seen in the success of Medieval codes of knighthood and the spread of Islam. The desire to conform to the behavior of a group to which an individual belongs or aspires to belong is also a powerful force, though it may generally apply to more general cultural norms and customs, where the dichotomy is between proper and improper behavior.

Morality is an issue because our laws are based on what society upholds to be right and acceptable forms of behaviour. Morality defines what is acceptable.

Morality exists in more than sexuality.
It just depends on who you are & what limits you have set for yourself.
