i suggest u to go for "SALSA".......its amazing
as far as i know abt diff types of dancing styles,i prefer salsa
but u need a partner for it..........so go for it!!!

It all depends on what TYPE of dancing you want to do. Theoretically you can dance to any song. Just move your body.

SONGS with a RYTHM are an essential for any kind of rhythmic act like dancing.Rest if you just want to dance you dont even need music!!

lyrical - choose slower songs with choice lyrics
jazz - cabaret or upbeat style songs
tap - nearly anything with a good backbeat
pointe/ballet - classical songs

For me it does not matter, I like all of it from slow (a lovesong or classical for ballet) to fast (for jazz and hiphop) and the in betweens. It depends on you girl, dance has no limitation, run your imagination and enjoy.

hip hop dance:hip hop
ballet: ballet music (find out more) or just slow pop music. Works fine.
Jazz or moovy stuff: Pop. Bristney Spears and Black Eyed Peas.
