Firstly...to the practice nurse
An absent minded practice nurse has caused endless uncertainties concerning my Autistic 4yr old sons health and his future imms.
I believe his ASD is related to the MMR...
however, if any research were to be done on him would anyone come to
any conclusive evidence when the dopey nurse who gave him the MMR and Prevenar at the same time forgot to note which leg she administered each vaccine?
The problem being is that he had localised reactions to both...one being much more severe than the other. Now ignorant people like yourself are trying to pressure me into getting his school entry MMR and DTP on the basis of no evidence that there is not a link between the two.
Who are the small minded people? The parents or the GMC and NHS?

Secondly...to the doctor
What the tabloids printed actually came from a Doctors mouth in the first place.
I don`t remember Dr Andrew Wakefield ever denying saying anything that was published...if he had, would the GMC be charging him with 4 counts of misconduct?
Is this just another stunt to draw the attention away from the real issue..the MMR?

And finally, being a little less judgemental of us parents could go a long way towards a step in the right direction...whatever the findings might end up to be.

There is NO link between MMR and autism the Dr who has stated this is now being taken to court by the GMC because of this scare. A 14 year old boy has just died because of small minded people who refuse to give there kids the best possible start in life. Measles mumps and rubella was very much down before this MMR scare and now it is heading back up on the disease scale.
Those people who think that there is a link READ the evidence on it there is NONE.

If you want the best for your children give them all the imms you possible can cus the disease are far far far worse that a 1 second injection

MMR jabs are given around the world and have been for more than 30 years. In this time the diagnosed number of cases of autism have increased; but so have the size of the holes in the ozone layer, the number of pollutants in the air and the number of people suffering allergies. No cause-and-effect relationship has been established between MMR and autism.

An increase in diagnoses does not necessarily an increase in the number of people with the condition either; we are getting better at recognising autism.

As far as I know there was only one study done that made a connection bettween MMR and autism and it didn't establish a cause-and-effect relationship. Since that study there have been many studies that disprove the link.

MMR is perfectly safe. Get single jabs if you are worried, but it justs costs the taxpayer more for no justifiable reason.

There is NO link between the jabs and autism. The whole scare was based on one research paper that was not accurate, it was just the media getting the wrong end of the stick and thinking 'this is a good story'.

It is difficult to know who to belive sometimes, however, think of this. If you dont have the jab, you are risking your child to measles, mumps and rubella. These are COMMON unlike autism. They can also be very dangerous. If a girl gets rubella while pregnant it can permanently damage the baby.

If you are still unsure, go and discuss it with your doctor. Who do you believe: your doctor who actually knows about vaccinations, or a newspaper who you know reports loads of utter rubbish on a daily basis. Think about this sensibly please.

It is such a shame that the papers are believed so often... this is going to damage such a lot of people before everyone stops believing it.

yep definanelty covering something up. Its a discrace

My son could sing until his jag, then suddlenly after the jag he developed speech and language difficulties, it took him until he was 4 before I heard him sing again. I think it may be casued by the mercury in them

and for the person below, I don't think being a nurse makes you qualified to know the results of all findings
