Luck is an interesting concept. The vikings believed that people had luck or they didn't in the same way that they have other characteristics. e.g. Sven is tall, blond & lucky or Eric is short, dark and unlucky.
Certainly there do seem to be some people who things just seem to work out for and other people who seem to be the victims of life all the time.
I think there is something in this. Lucky people tend to have confidence and a positive attitude, they aren't brought 'down' by set backs so much so nothing is as bad as it could be. Unlucky people seem to take it really hard when something minor goes wrong and then don't seem to have the wherewithall to sort things out.
Cause or effect though? I'm not sure. They say we each have a natural level of happiness and that what happens to us in our lives doesn't actually affect that very much. Maybe luck is the same.

I'm not sure if there is such a thing as luck, it's kind of like a superstition. I do find that I have runs of "bad luck" at times, but they could also just be down times in my life.. Possibly created by my own bad feelings.
The only superstition I believe in is magpies. One for sorrow and all that....

Yes. Luck is different than fate or destiny. I dont believe in predetermination, the idea that the future is already laid out before us and set in stone. Reality flows like the waves and ebbs of a tide and somtimes you can catch the right current to land you someplace great. Some people are better at it than others. 'Bob' talks about ways a person can charge and direct their Luck Vortex.

Luck?
Your placement of your question if there is luck in the mythology category seems to suggest that you do not believe in luck.
However, I think that we create our luck ourselves. Whatever we think, feel, desire and expose ourselves to, is creating our future.
Being pessimistic and bad mannered, listening to bad language CDs, seeing violent movies and feeling bad about ourselves creates just that: bad luck or no luck!
If we only understood that what we cultivate in us, through thoughts and feelings, creates what many call luck!
Studies of the successful show how much they believed in themselves, wanted to do good, wanted to give their best, never gave up, did not take "not possible" for an answer and kept a positive attitude toward their goal, circumstances and CO-humans.
May be you like to read Napoleon Hill's book, Think and Grow Rich, there is a lot of truth in it.
Wishing you good luck and the knowing that it is within you where you find its seeds!

yes luck comprises of all your good work done in past + power of your intention and attention on the work you are doing ,in any case it,s exhaustible,ie if you have good luck in starting and you dont put effort for long you will start going towards mediocre

No evidence? you've under no circumstances studied the regulation of probability, statistics or chaos theory. there is one of those component as success. probability and success are more desirable or a lot less interchangeable words.
