of course! doing so won't affect either the console or your CD. Its was a tongue -in-cheek act from Sony to a rival. who it is? well.............its anybody's guess!!
this technique also makes the console easy to store,due to its large size ,this was devised by SONY innovators to silence critics who were sharpening their claws at its size!!

you are much better off having the ps2 horizontal as a ps2 standing vertically can lead to problems with the disk mechanism and the laser guide arm will wear out faster.

The PS2 has been designed to stand both vertically and horizontally. It wont demage the laser head or the CD.

its meant to stand on its side my PS2 is on its side because of short space. but it still works beautifully after so many years plus you can twist the PS logo on the disc tray you dont really need a vert stand to make it stand but you would feel more safer when you have the stand my opinion go for the stand

yeah sure.it is designed for it.look i keep the other way,but its ok if u keep the vertical way.it looks stylish on the vertical one and safer on the other one.

yes, ps2 is build to be include in both methods
It does not effect the system anyway.
