Fact is there is more than enough food produced on the planet to feed everyone. In the Untied states alone we produce 3 times the amount need to feed our people, yet there is still starvation in this country.

The only answer to why is politics. One side says that its wrong to just give way food, that the poor must work for it, the government has no buisness funding programs.

On a global scale it is much more complicated. and population is not the reason it can not be solved.
Major reasons include.

*unstable governments in the poorest nations.
Waring nations.
*Lack of Prioritization of the problem by stable rich nations.
*Lack of Funding to distrubute food, lack of storage facilities.
*Lack of evironmental regulations..(rivers and oceans, ect ect)

But if you want the simplest answer...is that mankind is flawed. They nation before humanity, they see borders before need. They say there is no solution so they do not try.
Is there a soultion to that....I am not sure.

Because the world as a whole has not made it a premiere priority. People and governments are wrapped up in their own problems and wants and needs; are willing to give but not til it hurts; and thus turn a blind eye to the fact that for some the most basic of needs which is food is not available to millions.

Just take a look around. We as a human lot are not that kind. Thank goodness for the individual kindness of some. Imagine what could be done if all were kind.

I wonder the same thing. It's as if the rich care not for food and care only about control and meaningless possesions. We here in America have lost sight of what really matters.... producing vaible and valuable goods. We import 80-90 percent of all the foods, goods and products. The fact is that we reinvest that money on scamming the rest of the world.... It's a paper shifting game that we are currently winning.... Only problem is that the people we put in control forgot where they came from... They have forgotten that we the people have put our lives under thier own... to support them... and they have turned thier backs on us and gone selfish. If the poor had money they would invest in stocks and bonds... computers and technology....but if we gave money to a wiseman he would buy a farm and plant food for his family and friends.... No wise man has money... he sees no use for it... and if he did have it then the power hungry would try to take it.... Greed fuels man's fire... and anger is what prevents us from being able to make sense of it all.

I wish that I could change the face of america.... teach them that killing is wrong and that we will all eventually starve when we are all too busy buying insurance and destroying the world around us to do anything about it....We are all intelligent but none of us has any intelligence....sad fact that they don't realize thier own folly....

Tons of food are shipped to poor countries. The "bad guys" in the poor countries confiscate a lot of it so it never even reaches the poor and the needy. Also there are too many people. There has not been a pandemic in a long, long time. When one does take hold human numbers will be greatly reduced. Life cycle.

The root cause is any man doesnt try to understand the importance of another man's hunger. Do you know even in India lots and lots of tonnes of rice is thrown in the sea due to over stocking in the godowns. No politician has took charge of it. It is the duty of a mother to feed all of her child. It is the duty of a good leader to feed his people. This must be implemented irrespective of the economic, social and continental aspects. We live our life sophisticated because of the hard work of our forefathers so it is our duty to perform such actions for our future generation. so we must try to stop starvation by compelling the government bodies to ensure that no startvation death happens.

Abu.

Because the Countrys Governments havent been handing out boxes of condoms to the poorer nations to prevent more child birth from occuring.

How selfish is it of the parents/people to bring more children into the world when they themselves are starving?

WEAR A CONDOM!!!

There would be goverments and huge corporations interests at stake, since they make the weapons to sell to factions in order to continue these tribal wars etc and continue the starvation of innocent people who get caught in between.
