yes, being a red sox fan myself, i have seen him play. In general his delivery is so slow which means it is easy for baserunners to steal 2nd, possibly 3rd. whenever he gits hit, he gets worse, he doesn't want to be on the mound, he is a wimp that should not get 9.8 million dollars a year!!!!!!!!! i wouldn't give him $9.80 to pitch for my team! i'm gonna give him a new nickname.....Matt Clementel (clementel means bad)

I don't think that they should release Matt, but he may not ever be anything more than a .500 pitcher. I think the Cubs knew that was going to be the case, otherwise they would have done whatever they could to sign him long term. If Boston proposed a trade it's difficult to say what other teams would offer back. The Red Sox pitching is suffering a bit right now. David Wells should retire, for one. And the jury is still out on Lester. Boston needs to get other spots in the rotation resolved before giving up on Clement.

As someone who's familiar with Clement in my opinion i'm able to allow you to keep in mind that his gross revenues isn't gaurunteed, he purely receives an element and collects different quantities from the crimson Sox coverage corporation. He did not screw them, they screwed themselves through signing him to a freelance that replaced into huge for someone with administration subject matters and an excellent occupation era!

Considering he can;t last more than 5 innings without his arm failing, I'd say back down to Pawtucket or put out to pasture. Put Papelbon in for more than one inning for a change.
