THE BENEFIT OF DOUBT MUST FAVOUR THE BATSMAN LIKE OTHER SITUATIONS.

I HOPE ICC WILL RECALL THIS.

yes it is true that icc has laid down a new rule. this had come up against the recent controversy between w.i and india with dhoni. the benefit of doubt will be for the fielder if it is around the boundary.

It is great ... it brings honesty back into sports ... A player would do nothing that will and can injure or damage his pride.

If the ref or in this case the amp has to make a choice and it is wrong the player just feels he hot away with one.

But when his pride is on the line he would - and i really believe it-tell the truth.

Good one on th ICC

it is good if the normal game goes on. But after that india westindies match this rule found place. If the umpire knows the result he can take action or leave it to third umpire.

This situation does not occur often. it happend in the test of india and WI because camaras are not able to pick the right frames.

and this is sheer bullshit rule because , it depends on the individual player to decide to tell the batsmen is out or not out???

ethics plays more imp here.

if a player like sachin or gilli in this situation may be true not the afridis and laras never ....

i dont think thats possible because cricket is a batsman's game and the benefit of the doubt would go to the batsman or if this is a rule then i am not aware of this
