guys I,ve read some of your answers and I very much hope everything finishes so fast. ( like ajjax mission 50 years ago in Iran) I read some silly points(no offence)that Iran will stop seeling oil or intefere in oil transportation .I dont think they have the guts to do that I am an Iranian by birth myself and I know that the recent president had ruined 8 years of economy building and Iran is very much dependent on money from oil and suffering budget deficit I suggest they somehow dont buy oil from Iran its only 3% of the worlds oil and then Iranian will understand what they r going through and beside no money means no nuke :))

It will be a suicide to do so and the US generals know that.
Iran is a big country. People are intelligent and cultivated. The civil resistance to any military invasion will be very strong especially that the country is not build to worship one man or a dictatorship so the country will not fall fast when Tehran will be taken as happened in Iraq.
On the other hand, the military technology is fairly advanced in Iran. It will not be as easy as it was in Iraq and Afghanistan.

it will be a disaster for the US to invade Iran without extensive study

Eventually, if Iran continues to rebuke the United Nations, it's going to give the United States card blanche to invade Iran on some level. Whether it be strategic air strikes, or ground troops. I believe they will start out with the former, since the Iraq war was so unpopular, and since around ground troops are currently spread pretty thin.

All in all, though it will turn into a conventional ground war if Iran remains in a stalemate with the rest of the the world.

Yes, there is a big chance of an Iran-US war, on the Nuclear Programme issue. I feel the US should not prevent the development of Nuclear technology in Iran untill they pose a threat to World peace.

I think that Iran is not as close as we think they are to building a nuke. Iran's president likes being the center of attention and his waving and crazy posturing is just a sad little performance to get the world to look at him/Iran. Of course if they nuke Israel then we should burn them to the ground

no i dont think that the us is gonna enter war with iran over nuclear dispute.

both the sides are playing a bluff game in ordre to get maximum concessions from the other.

the us cant afford to launch another war at this moment coz of the fact that they are a bit overstretched at the moment.

so its just a game of bluff nothing more

Iran is hoping to get fortunate like North Korea yet what would desire to ensue is that GB and something of the international cut back them off from all sources and end the flow of Iranians of their international places. purely rapid decisive action gets the outcomes that are long late.

No I don't think they will. They would risk totally angering the whole arab world, plus the Chinese and Russians. There is too much at stake.

I don't believe the UN will let it get that far.
