Nicolas Cage is better actor than tom hanks

How can you even compare the two? Tom Hanks is a great comedian and a great dramatic actor. Nicolas Cage is a great dramatic actor no doubt and he can deliver really funny lines, but he's no comedian. Then again, could you picture Hanks in an action film? Cage has done that (Gone in Sixty Seconds, National Treasure) and is really good in that area. Overall, Tom Hanks is the better actor, but Cage isn't far behind him mainly due to all of his experiance in the feild being a Copola and what not.

Tom Hanks did many roles that are close to real life...he is an awesome actor...Philadeplhipa, The Terminal, Forrest Gump, and few others...

Oh man! They don't even compare. Tom Hanks is amazing-his work in Saving Private Ryan, Forrest Gump, The Terminal, Green Mile, Philadelphia, Castaway as well as all the chick flicks he's been in. He does it all and very well! Nicolas Cage is decent-liked him in Matchstick Men, Face Off and City of Angels but Tom Hanks is so much better.

I like them both, but I think Tom Hanks has had more of a range in roles, and is the better actor.

Depends on the role...Tom Hanks is beautiful for honor and glory, while Nicolas Cage...damn all I can think about is "The Shining" and I love it!

Tom Hanks has been more consistent. Cage has chosen to star in some mediocre flicks lately.
