my friend girl is very close, well she allegedly is close to her brother, well about 2 months ago she is all upset cause she finds out step dad was pretty much abusive to him when he was younger. she got mad talked about counseling but only went once now fast forward to this week. we had plans to go to a park for 2 days this week but this same step dad offers her a free trip to panama city beach florida his girl friend came along brought the booze with them. never mind there is also two pre teen kids going too. well guess who didn't go her brother, now not sure if he didn't invite him but she never mentioned him to me at all. so is it just me or does it look like she is really selfish and for a free trip to Florida and free booze she tossed aside her principles and her concern for her brother?what you think I know she has been drinking a lot too she called me and bragged about it isn't that poor example to set around much younger sister? what you think

your friend (the girl) has some sort of psychological conflict within. you should help her because the inconsistencies she showed was very suggestive of an inner problem. you know why she started to drink a lot or went to florida? it's because maybe that's her way of coping to her problem unconcsiously. What you can do? you should open up the topic...talk to her and let her express her feelings...by expressing her feelings you are already helping her deal with her problem...this is a therapy in itself. with this, she will not resort to any vices such as alcoholism and drug addiction. help her stop the drinking because it won't do good.\PEACE!

can't she take a break? is it wrong for her to feel like she needs/deserves some fun? if she didn't mention him and you don't know if he was invited, how can you form judgments? you're her bf, not mother.... so, you shouldn't be passing judgments, especially without knowing all the facts. what i think is ... be her bf, don't interfere into her family life, because you obviously don't know the full picture
