Take lot's of vitamins and protein. You can take vitamin pills, if you're too sick to eat and whey protein isolate, just like body builders use, it's very easily digestible.
Citrus fruit also helps, but you need a balance with all the nutrients.
Increase the teperature in the room, stay away from cold.
Some say lemon tea, chicken soop, lozenges work, but it's basically nonsense. Only time, good nutrition and good environment will help you get over the cold a little bit sooner.

Dry ginger powder 1/2 tsp, honey 1 tsp.
Mix together and lick.
One more receipe is dry ginger powder 1/2 tsp, ghee 1/ tsp and jaggery 20 gram. mix together and warm a little. take this first food in the morning.

if u just have a cold take medicine drink **** loads of water and SLEEP but if its becuz u smoke go to a docter and get ur lungs cleared and never take a damn puff again....
