Ok, this is usually something I would fix on-site since there are so many possibilities. Delayed Write Failed simply means it cant write to the disk for some reason. This could be something as simple as the system is trying to write to a missing directory (system, not program) such as in the case of system restore or a recovery manager. It could also be that for whatever reason the disk as become unwritable. I doubt it's the USB port connections, or anything like that since you said it shows up in your device manager as working properly.

If you have nothing on it I would re-format the disk. If you will be putting nothing of importance that require file security, re-format in FAT32, if you wish to have file security use NTFS. When you format, DO NOT USE QUICK FORMAT and DO NOT ENABLE COMPRESSION. This may only cause more problems.

After formatting, try copying any single file to the disk, if the copy is successful then your disk is working fine... any future errors would be the result of the program and it's settings, not the disk.

I know everyone probably told you this, but if you haven't already, run scandisk, with the fix errors and scan for bad sectors boxes checked. Just in case it's a simple hard drive error.

Thats all I can think of at the moment without looking at the drive.

Right clicking on the drive and selecting format will bring you to the formatting options.

Right clicking on the drive and selecting properties, then tools will bring you to "error checking" (scandisk), click check now and then click the boxes I told you. Then click start.
