Too Easy..... California!!!

I'm living in California, I have not lived in the UK... but if I were to choose... I'd choose Australia. It is less expensive (but for how long who knows) to live in than California. The weather is as good as California (you can choose mild mediterrian-like to swarmy-tropical), The main language is English like both. Crime depends again on exactly where in a country you live, though when it comes down to it... if you are going to get stuck in the middle of a crime it could be the ONE crime that is committed in that area... but you are still stuck in it.

Housing where I live in California is about $400,000 to own a two-bedroom apartment, and $1,000,000 at least to own a house. Rent is around $1,000+ for some one bedroom places. I have yet to find a job in California after trying for over 6 months (and I have even applied to retail, Starbucks, and various other "starter jobs", besides the very few jobs in my educationally trained profession.)

In Australia you can spend $400,000AU (1$AU was currently worth $.75US last I looked) and get a three bedroom house in the inner suburbs of Melbourne.

Both UK and Melbourne are part of the British Commonwealth.

All three countries are MAD Crazy about their sports teams.

I guess when it gets down to it, you could live in any of the three places... I think I'd go for finding the job(s) in each of the places you could live with doing... and then decide.

I live in London, but also have lived in Las Vegas (hey, close enough) and visited Cali many times. I have to say that I prefer London (history, cultural mecca, beauty, art, sophistication, character) but I really love California (especially San Fran, San Diego). Both places are incredibly expensive to live in and both areas have issues with jobs/employment. California has better weather and people are generally friendly. In the UK, people are also friendly (exception would be west and n.west London). But you can't beat the public transportation in the UK. You are connected to even Paris and unless you live in the country/small town, you don't really need a car. In California (as pretty much everywhere else in the US other than NY city) a car is compulsary.

In the end, both places would be great to live in, but it really comes down to personal preferences of lifestyle and culture.

I'm happy in the UK, I have my family and stuff. Plus California seems nice for just a week or so, but to live there all the time would drive me insane!

Well, I live in UK, and never been in California.
So I can not really say, where I would prefer to live!
To me California sounds great, I think the weather might be a wee bit better than in Bonny Scotland

Both of these countrys are full of twats and suck big time. I live in uk but I am also half american and I hate both. Full of war mongering nobs. As for California this is a country that goes on and on about liberty and humanity but STILL has the death penalty and elect ARNOLD SWOLLENBURGER LMFAO.

UK wins all the time we may have the rain, the congestion charge and Tony Blair but the thought of being in California with all those fake over paid over sexed movie stars makes me shudder.

What a question!
No sane person would choose to live anywhere in the US.
If the choice was given.
I have been both places.
Britain I could live for a lifetime.
US half a week was enough - just wanted to get OUT as fast as possible.

lol, California! So much beautiful opportunity. UK is far more expensive, but has the awesome history and access to the European Union... so it depends on what you're looking to do ;)
