Rahul Mahajan, late BJP leader Pramod Mahajan’s son, on Thursday declared that he had done no wrong and he wasn’t a drug trafficker."I have not committed any legal or moral wrong,” said Rahul at a press conference in 7, Safdarjung Road, the bungalow where on June 1 night police alleged a drug party took place.Without naming anyone, Rahul, who walked free from Tihar Jail after spending five days there, said a section of the society had a "hidden agenda" against him.Surrounded by his lawyers and friends, Rahul insisted that he was not a “drug dependant or a drug user”.He refused to comment on the charges filed against him in a drug case, saying the matter was sub-judice.“Now that I am out on bail, I am better placed to defend myself and I pray to the judiciary to be impartial and
independent,” he said.Rahul said he and his family have faced a lot of humiliation, insult and endured loss of close friends because of the incident. However, he added, “I will make my father proud one day.”"I apologise to my mother, sister, Munde uncle and all other relatives to whom I have caused pain and anguish," he said, also remarking, "I will suffer for my deeds."Rahul denied that he was angry with the BJP or felt that its leaders had abandoned him and his family. “I have no differences with the BJP; it is more of a family,” he said.Thanking the BJP for standing by him, he said, "It has touched my heart and my soul. Vajpayeeji has been like a father to me." He also said that he would meet Vajpayee and senior party leader L K Advani.“I was born in the BJP, lived in it and will die in it,” he said. “I thank Atal Bihari Vajpayee and Rajnath Singh.”On whether he was looking forward to a career in politics, Mahajan junior said the issue now is how to get through the difficult phase.
"My party is with me," he added. He denied being offered a post in the party
