We (I'm assuming you're talking about humans) were never monkeys. Sorry.

Humans evolved from monkeys. By then the monkeys had small brains meaning that things that human do today weren't done by monkeys then. Some monkeys went extinct while some remained and others changed and became humans!

So easy to forget that trees, vegetation and shrubbery are alive. Who created the vegetation? It feeds on ground water and sunlight. In other words, to say we are descendant from monkeys, then we could say we are descendants from vegetations. After all, an oak tree is aive and vibrant. You cut a tree down, chances are it will grow back. It's tough. Unless you think the so-called single cell created everything from vegetation to animal kingdoms. Don't think so. That's why monkeys hang out in trees. They want to show evolutionists the close bond between the vegetation and animal kingdoms. So if you think your wondering about us and monkeys, you could also wonder about us and vegetation.

there is no point for us to look our past as a monkey. considering our PAST will still end up as human , when in the future we will be asking are we once human ?

if we evolve from now then you'll be asking why were we once human ?

we were never monkeys.. the theory of evolution is just a theory...that means a belief that someone can add their own opinion to...
Darwin himself said in his own book about it :"You would have to have more faith to believe my theory ,than faith to believe in God"
Also if that were true..when a species evolves, the old one passes away... there are still plenty of primates living to make that a lie. Plus there are many missing links....scientists have also determined the skulls that were supposed to be humans, were actually pigs skulls...
