No, we should do two things. First, fix the hole in the boat, and secondly bail out the water.
Fixing the hole means stopping them from getting in. We must do whatever it takes whether it be building fences, or putting troops on the border. Our national guard could do it. More border control agents would be nice. Invest more in hitech equipment to detect movement. Many of those things have finally started happening, now that the problem is huge. The second part is where the government is failing us. They tell us it is impossible to deport 30 million illegals and I ask why? How do we know we can't if we dont try? The executive branch has made no attempt to enforce the laws on the books, that is why the mexicans started flooding the borders to begin with. Now Congress wants new legislation? If the old legislations isnt being enforced what makes anyone think new laws will be enforced either?
Until people like you and me demand action, we will get lame duck action on this issue. Bush is the one in the hot seat now, but its not his fault entirely. Many past Presidents also sad on their thumbs on this issue, so I blame them all. For conservatives this is the hot button issue, and if the current administration wont act on it, it will hurt them come election time.

If all the mexicans got deported america would be almost empty,
Americans stoped breeding to make room for the illegals ...Also americans make it to d amn easy on them for one...they get free medicade over , damn near everything is in spanish , if we would stop catering to them we would see less of them . I would say they need to be deported by how long they have been hear , if they have been here illegalk less than 2 years the should be deported , I'm not trying to sound cruel but america was founded for whom ever wanted to lawful become a citizen not for how every felt like running across the boarder, and they are bringing small pox and t.b. and other disease with them
