I live in the Santa Cruz Mountains of California, and I consider it a little closer to heaven than most anywhere else on earth. Big old redwood trees give us great oxygen/carbon dioxide exchange. Aging hippies, bikers, artists, musicians and BMW driving computer nerds all make their home here in peace and harmony, and pay way too much for the privilege. Any great place to live is bound to be expensive, but I say better a tiny apartment in a great location than a huge house in a place you can't enjoy.

Los Angeles. After spending time in the Mid West and being here in NY, I have to say LA is best by far, home sweet home.
