Buying MP3 need "to resume playing at the point at which it was when powered off" for audio book. Suggestions?

Will be downloading audio books from "OverDrive" media and searching for the "PlaysForSure" MP3 player with space for 2 or more audio books. Which is best 4GB of Flash memory or 30GB of Hard drive? Do not plan to download any music-want to listen to books on my commute. Comparing Samsung YP-Z5 with Phillips 30GB. iPod IS NOT COMPATIBLE!
