I doubt it. Indo-Paki has never been one country, has it? Germany was. Indo and Paki has a past full of hatred for one another. Germany was divided by communist forces, not by the German people.

The situation is totally different, and you're question mixes apples with oranges. I personally think there is just too much bad blood in the Indo-Pak equation.

It is a good question and meaningful given the present state of affairs in the world today..India and Pakistan were one country(Jack F note down) with a mixture of Hindus and Muslims. And together they fought British and had freedom on midnight of Aug 14th,1947.For certain silly reasons the land was divided between Hindus and Muslims on the day of Independence. The people of both countries have same psyche and same thought process.Though bitterly fought in two wars, the blood in them, but for religion, is same. Both are passionate about cricket and Music.India with its secular constitutional fabric has given better life to residual Muslims. Can you believe world's second largest Muslim population is in India...150 millions or more. For an average Indians muslims are part of the society.
So given the choice,it is posible and land will be better place for both of them.
