since you have no eyes why am i answering? hmmm, anyway take a deep breath before you go in water. how's yr brain? can u remember 2 things? (a) behind you is the way you've come, not the river, the other side is obviously the opposite way from which you've come; go that way. (b) u will be able to tell if yr underwater, you'll want to generally go up. remember the deep breath? that air is now in yr lungs (barring sucking chest wounds), air floats, so chest is up, legs generally down. fresh air is up, go that way. if you still got stubs, or anything like feet, kick them puppies as hard as you can, and hope u don't get turned around in mid-stream.
and don't panic, the boys from "The Home" are already out looking for you. Listen is that them at the door now?

first of all if your home is infested with these animals that would maul you in the dark..1- you should find another home and 2- if you just had to go home then I would suggest doing it after day break. As far as the river you should know which side of it your home is on so swim to the other side I would suggest walking up river first you could tell this by the sounds of the river. this way when you do swim the current will carry you back down.

Well this just makes no sense. You say you need to reach home "before day break". That means it's still dark out. So what difference does it make if you need to reach home before "darkness falls" when it's dark already.

First of all you don't need hands to swim (ever watch the paralympics?) and this is true, your third eye will direct you in the right direction because you have a stronger sense of survival than the rest of us, no kidding, because you even managed to type your question and will probably use your third eye to read the answers. I'd say you'll swim rather than sink.

What does this have to do with Christmas?
Why does no-one bother to put their questions in the right categories?
If you have no hands & no eyes, why would you be away from home in the first place?

Just get dumped in the middle of the pool. You will soon realise when you hit the sides. You will bounce off in the right direction!!!

stay still in the water and go by the direction of the waves or ripples that are in the water. then go with the motion in the water, if your not that strong a swimmer it would help u move along...if the scenario were real!

BLIND CAVE FISH have an uncanny ability to navigate adeptly, apparently by bouncing sound waves off objects around them. If you are a BLIND CAVE FISH; your tactile organs are sensitive to touch, allowing to feel what it cannot see.
