Just know that it is very difficult to try to convince someone who is in an abusive relationship to leave the abuser. He has gained so much psychological control over her. I respect marriage, but in this case if you think you can, win her over. She shouldn't be with this man. I was in an abusive relationship for many years, though not married, it felt as if we were. It was very hard to get out of my situation. I wish a nice man came and rescued me. The fact is you really can't. She needs to save herself.

She has to be totally divorced from him first before you even should ever be with her at all ... Slow down and be patient and she needs to take some action here to let herself our of this abusive marriage and get the help that she needs. Once she is completley divorced then pursue her!
