You probably aren't eating a cow anyways. Not all cattle are cows! Cows are only females that have given birth. They are the ones who do produce milk, but steers and heifers are most likely harvested for meat. The only cows that we eat are cull cows and they are put into meat to make it leaner.
The whole reason we eat cattle is because they were originally hunted. It was then discovered they could be domesticated and kept more efficiently when raised by humans.
And if you think are what you eat, I wouldn't eat organic vegetables. They use livestock manure to fertilize growing vegetables since they can't use other fertilizers. I don't think that saying you are what you eat is completely correct. I think that I'll keep eating meat because I enjoy it and it is a much easier way to get proteins. You can survive on a vegetarian diet, but in order to get the same amount of proteins and vitamins it would be much more costly. And to those who say the cost would go down if we didn't have livestock should know that livestock often eat byproducts humans don't eat or can't eat.

What, are you trying to convert me to vegetarianism?
Let's also point out that cheese is NOT mold. It's curdled milk, which is made by adding some acidic substance (which isn't unhealthy either.. I'm talking acidic like lemon juice) and then getting rid of the liquid.
Milk is healthy, as it is rich in calcium. I'm not saying milkshakes are healthy, but you make it sound like milk is a bad thing.
And I will add that a balanced diet consists of not only vegetables, but meat. MEAT. So I'm not going to stop eating it.
No, we're not what we eat. We're at the top of the food chain. If we were what we ate, we'd be cannibals.

No, I seperate milk from meat for religious and health purposes.
First of all, Cows are seperated to 2 groups, one Beef cow, and the other Dairy cow. That means that one group is meat, and the other group reproduces milk.
If my life depended on it, I would only milk the cow, and live with it, but not slaughter it and take away it's life for my life.

I find fast food places quite disgusting, I do like a good steak though, and yes if that was my only option if I was hungry I would 'hunt' a cow (don't know how much of a hunt it would be...) I don't delude myself as to where my food comes from.

i think the same thing about chicken, it's got bones and skin and stuff. gross. but i eat it anyway and hide back in my unthought out hole. I'd kill a cow and eat it if i had to. don't really have to hunt it. you can just walk up and smash it in the head or something. Not much stealth involved there. but no, it doesn't look too appetizing standing there all stinky and chewing it's cud.

Nope. Ive never looked at a cow on the field and said "mmm, that looks tasty". But the beef on my platter said "moooooo".

It would be too dificult to hunt a cow. They are so quick and have lightining reflexes... As for eating one? Hell yes, the human body was meant to eat meat. Cowa are raised for this very reason.

Thanks for asking that question. I laughed as visions of mself, sneaky creeping up on a cow at night with a spear ran through my head. I love meat. Yes, I have looked at animals and thought yummy. We are omnivores. We weren't meant to live off of plants.

I was at a little farm zoo once, and I said that same thing. I was serious, I was hungry. This little kid didn't think it was funny. He started to cry. I'm sorry if I offended you, it was awhile ago... I didn't think it would have this much of an impact on you. For what it's worth, my burger was mighty good! :)~

Yes, I love to go cow hunting. It's so challenging, because those sly cows are so quick on their feet, you can never catch up with one. Plus, they congregate in packs, and turn on you and attack, just when you think you're about to bag one.
