If its how you feel than it is the right thing. You'll know when you are ready or not. You dont need us to tell you when you should or shouldnt because you seem like you are doing great on your own.

Yes you did the right thing. He respects you now for having the strength to make a stand. There is no earthly reason that someone should have sex, just because the other person wants it. Take your time, when you are ready - and old enough - make sure you prepare by seeing a Dr. or Nurse at a family planning clinic and getting the correct birth control and make him use a condom...

Yes! If you are not comfortable with having sex just yet, it is very mature of you to talk about it with your boyfriend and be open about it. It is very good of him not to pressure you into it either. He seems very supportive, and I spose my first time I was heaps heaps nervous! But after it, I wondered why I ever got nervous in the first place. You do it when you are ready ok?! Good for you!
Though I have a sneaking suspicion your boyfriend may push you a bit for it now more often, but still say no if you are not ready and don't let anyone bully you into having sex. :) If he is any sort of good boyfriend, he will wait a while till you are ready.
