I have a friend who copies everything about me, the bands i like, the shows i watch, the things i do. He is seriously annoying me and i feel stressed every day. He always wants to compete with me or something so he copies me and tries to be better. I wish he never knew me but when i ignore him, he tells his parents and his parents complain to my parents.

yeah but i can't find any way to get back at him cause he has nothing i want to copy. He seriously gives me headaches and is obsessed with talking with me or hanging out so he can copy more of me.

They are your parents so go to them and explain to them why you chose to cut your friendship with this person. Advise your parents that it is destroying you mentally and it is making life hard for you...I hope they listen,,,write them a letter to explain if you don't feel comfortable talking to them. You parents should,,,i repeat "should' understand. If not, you need to think of something so that you are not going thru this. It will bring self destruction by someone else and that's worst. Good luck

Well, first of all, your friend thinks you are the ****. If its not because you attract other people, its because you have something your friend wants. As for the copying, if you've genuinely tried talking to him and he still hasnt changed, then you should try to steer him into different things. If he's really your friend, hell be open to other things as well, as long as youre the one introducing them to him. Ask him to name a few things he likes that he knows youre not that much into. If he says theres nothing, youll know hes lying. No two people are EXACTLY alike. Really. Oh, and if you ignore him, then why do you call him a friend. Why does he tell. Im sure youre making it clear to him and his parents WHY youre ignoring him. Try something new. Youre crazy if you try the same thing 3 times expecting different results each time, according to some definition of crazy I read.

Just pretend to take an interest in things like quilt making or crocheting and see what the the monkey does. Depending on his reaction, tell him you are surprised that he does not copy you (if he does not copy you); or you were trying to test him (if he copies you). You can raise his awareness about your real feelings in a friendly manner by joking about his copycat actions. Try to have some fun instead of getting stressed about this unpleasant situation.

ugh!! that is suuuuper annoying! tell him that you don't like him to be your copycat...if he didn't stop....ignore him forever!....next time your parents confronted you about it, tell them the truth.....it's really weird, i bet the next he'll do is to hit on your g/f if you have one.....now, that would be freaking nasty! and you won't gonna like it...

Take it as a complement, but if you really can't stand him talk to him about it.
