Supression by a despot who abolished parliament and imprisoned opposition leaders [pretty much third world stuff]

Disgust of the ppl with so called democracy- which was actually a martial admin., Maoist uprising & their control over rural Nepal, & strong suspicions on the king's validation of power since the murder of the royal family
