I am good with (interviewing) personalities and(writing)reviews.What else does feature writing encompass?

Travel stories, food, lifestyles and trends -- feature stories include much more than profiles and one-on-one interviews. Really, a "feature" can be any article in a newspaper or magazine that is not hard news and not an opinion column.

You must learn how to do reliable research on many subjects. For example, imagine how stupid you would seem if you showed up to interview a movie star and then asked, "What was the first movie you starred in?" The writer is supposed to know that kind of thing BEFORE the interview.
