lol that's a good one i always ask if i can have a tissue...
i had many people ask can i borrow a tissue and i say no you can not borrow it you can have it.
Some people look at me dumb founded like duhhhhhhh i don't get it. but some laugh. and correct there mistake.
I lost 2 family members last year 1 month apart a aunt then a grandmother and that was the only thing that kept me from crying the whole time was family with there mistakes. Kept them on there toes 2.

The borrower could be offering to return an unused tissue, which was its original condition. Nothing in the request mentions returning it in snotty condition, yet that is exactly what most people read into the request..

i think that we are taught not to take things from people when we are kids so when we grow up we out of habit dont take we borrow even tissues

You say this because in old day's they used handkercheif's. If you needed to use a "hanky" it was proper to wash it and return it..... Then Dive In The Muff!!!!!
