There's an old saying, that too many other countries know so well: the game lasts 90 minutes and in the end, Germany wins.

The are SUCH a tournament team, it almost makes me sick. The home-field advantage was more than noticable last night, the Dortmund crowd was incredibly supportive.

I think they have a great chance also because they will peak at the right time.

Poland was down to ten men and Germany couldn't capitalize on that.... They had a lot of narrow misses, and they could have been 2 up by the 90th minute (before they scored that goal). What about the time they hit the crossbar twice? That could have been a goal... Ballack could have avoided that yellow card though.... one more, and he'll be suspended...

France were the under-dogs when they hosted in 1998, but went all the way.
It is amazing what playing at home can do for your game, so I wouldn't put it past them.
May the BEST team win.

Why not, they defended reasonably well, had the lion's share of attack and most important of all, showed they still have the thing that separates winners from losers, a large dose of Teutonic luck.
