Plastic pots are easy to clean and sterilize for reuse, and, because they are not porous, they need less frequent watering and tend to accumulate fewer salts.

I assume you are using a drip tray to catch the excess water, because that's the main thing (drainage). If you've got some light, consist ant temperature, a very light soil( very impt.) and a good size pot that is a little bigger than the root ball you are almost home, the key is not the pot, the key is the hole in the bottom of the pot, it must be as big as a 25 cent piece, if it is not drill it out so that it is, or find a pot that has such. Most indoor plants croak not from inadequate water but from too much water, which is cause by poor drainage. If plants can't drain their roots, they stagnate and rot. For indoor gardening your favorite pot will be fine just make sure the drain hole is big enough!

The clay pots are best with drainholes and a dish at the bottom. Sometimes the plastic one keep in too much moisture and then it can create problems such as moss growing or fungus gnats which like very moiste soil.

It depends on the plant. You should ask your salesperson at the nursery which plants need less frequent transplanting or are likely to become root bound. If they can't answer your question you should find a different nursery. Good luck.

don't be worried, basically get a good particle mask of the type that has replaceable filters and a silicone rubber seal. (i.e. no longer those less expensive paper mask - those are next to ineffective). a first rate mask will fee approximately $25 at maximum hardware shops. i exploit them for any jobs that are dusty, and that i do no longer even have allergies.

It dependes on the plant's watering needs.
eg. catus should have drain holes.
I like clear glass vases, because I can see when a plant needs watering.
