I'm doing a Science Project on the Testing of Personal Care Products. These items include things like soap, shampoo, make-up, powder, nail-cutter, etc.
I already know that one form of testing is done on animals. Does anyone know what other form of testing there are and thier names? For example: I know one is just choosing a random item of the assembly line and testing that out and assuming that the rest are the same but I don't know what that's called.
So I have two questions:
1. Does anyone know what other form of testing there are and thier names?
2. Does anyone know a good site where I can get information about this?

What you described as pulling off the assembly line and checking is quality control. Other ways of testing include random sampling, cluster sampling, independent samples, and multi-stage sampling.

what you are talking about is called quality control.
Somethings are tested on people (human testing)
