I swear a lot, but lately my favorite one is "douche bag", if that counts. I also like the F word, a classic! lol

** and justnanous, just because I curse a lot does NOT mean I am ignorant or have a small vocabulary! Swears are part of the English language, and in certain situations, f*ck is the most effective word to use to get your point across! Also, I have above average intellegience, but I don't want to sound stuck up or anything, so I think that just talking like a normal person, cuss words and all, helps you communicate and connect with a wider range of people!

I tend to say bugger alot.

As for that person who just lectured you on sounding ignorant when using cuss words... it appears that she needs to a little research before goes off like that.
F*ck and sh*t have been in use for a long like... they're not creations of the recent past... in fact f*ck has been in use since at least the early 15th century. It comes from the word ***, or ****, which meant, to strike, or to penetrate.
Similarly, the explanation you were given for sh*t is also an urban myth that wasn't heard of before the 1960s. Sh*t was used in it's current form (to describe feces) in Middle English (some time between the 11th and 15th centuries) It was used even earlier than that in various etymological variants.
Since yahoo will no doubt censor the links I'll post below to the wiki entries on *hit and *uck, I suggest looking up those words on wikipedia and a good dictionary with a reasonable etymology section to get more accuration answers.

I don't have a favorite cuss word but I would like to respond to the person who seems to think that the F word and s**t are recent additions to the English language. The F word is not an acronym from the 1980's. Both words have been in the English Language for a very long time.

From Dictionary.com :
Word History: The obscenity f**k is a very old word and has been considered shocking from the first, though it is seen in print much more often now than in the past. Its first known occurrence, in code because of its unacceptability, is in a poem composed in a mixture of Latin and English sometime before 1500. The poem, which satirizes the Carmelite friars of Cambridge, England, takes its title, “Flen flyys,” from the first words of its opening line, “Flen, flyys, and freris,” that is, “fleas, flies, and friars.” The line that contains f**k reads “Non sunt in coeli, quia gxddbov xxkxzt pg ifmk.” The Latin words “Non sunt in coeli, quia,” mean “they [the friars] are not in heaven, since.” The code “gxddbov xxkxzt pg ifmk” is easily broken by simply substituting the preceding letter in the alphabet, keeping in mind differences in the alphabet and in spelling between then and now: i was then used for both i and j; v was used for both u and v; and vv was used for w. This yields “fvccant [a fake Latin form] vvivys of heli.” The whole thus reads in translation: “They are not in heaven because they **** wives of Ely [a town near Cambridge].”

Also from Dictionary.com :

[Middle English shitten, probably from Old English -sciten(as in besciten, covered with excrement), past participle of *sctan. See skei- in Indo-European Roots.]

I don't have any.....when people hear you cussing, they think you have a very small IQ ,ignorant and are not smart enough to make a statement to get your point across....lack of communication skills.
Like the ones who flip you the bird..what is that? Their IQ?
As for words like *hit...it actually mean Ship High In Transit....
*uck,is a term lawyers used in the early 80s for someone who was having sex outside of marriage. For Uncommon Carnal Knowledge....knowing where the words came from &what they really mean, makes a person sound like a moron when they use them the wrong way.....
EXAMPLES :you spill milk on the floor and say "Oh,ship high in transit"!! sounds stupid ,huh? When someone upsets you ,you say "For Uncommon Carnal Knowledge you " !! LOL
Sorry.....

I try not to cuss at all, but sometimes I get really mad--so a good cuss is in order! Probably just "damn it".

Definitely the "F" word - very versatile and can be used several times in the same sentence.
