It might be a Manchester United thing. I watched the Paraguay game in a Pub renowned as a United fans watering hole and was the only one in the place who sang when the National Anthem was played. It might be that or perhaps Neville can't remember the words. He's not the sharpest tool in the box is he? His play lacks imagination and although he is the only recognised right back in the squad, I'm sure there are a few players who could fill his boots and be found a surer bet under pressure.

Yeah but to be fair our National Anthem is about as inspiring as being lashed with a wet noodle..... better suited as a tune to something like a funeral march. I'm with Billy Connolly on this one - let's change the anthem from that miserable dirge to The Archers theme!!!

gary neville is not playing today.and yes i have noticed he does not sing the national anthem.on the other hand look how john terry belts it out.it just proves to me that some players are more motivated for england games than others.
