The problem with making the nets bigger is that there is no way the goaltender could possibly move that fast or that well to stop the puck. Hockey players are obviously very sturdy on their skates, but a goalie with all that equipment is pretty limited as to how far and fast they move. The nets are fine...

Yeah, we should make the nets 10 feet wide and 6 feet high! Then we can use an inflated ball, take our skates off, and play in fields! Oh, nevermind, they already have that, it's called soccer.

This is obviously coming from someone who has never played hockey in their life. It would totally kill all the excitement of scoring a goal. Also, a skilled player could score in a 6X10 goal with hardly no effort at all. Finally, because of the speed of the game, the score would rack up quicker than the goals can be counted. It's ridiculous.

Now that would only make sense if you put a second goalie in. Imagine how funny that could get if the dude was shooting at the middle of the goal. Be like in baseball when two outfielders are going for it and run into each other. I could just picture these two goalies going for the safe and running into each other.

Nah i reackon they're good size. Didn't they enlarge them just a a few seasons ago. or maybe not. any smaller would suck. i think makign them bigger would make scoring easier, true, but would perhaps get kill that tension you feel when hey may/may not score. it may be annoying at times because of the 'no score factor', but killing that would rid Hockey of some of that excitement!!!!

i think that the nets are fine just the way they are it makes the game more exciting

I think they are a LITTLE bit small
but I think 10'x6'would be stupid
