I have heard that when you purchase tickets like a week or less before the show they will be much cheaper. But what about shipping. That is something to consider. I just wanted to know does waiting really pay off. I just don't want to be sitting there right where I started from with no tickets, really cheap crap tickets, or tickets that are late and don't make it in time.

Sometimes ticket brokers will sell them cheaper to get them off their hands just before a show. This is usually only the case if they were not able to sell out so if you wait you risk there being no tickets available. They will either Fexdex the tickets for you or most venues have a "will call" window where you can pick them up before the show. The tickets are not necessarily crappy, I got 2nd row to a play one time because the broker had been asking way too much for the seats originally.

Not in Vegas. If you wait till the day of the show and there are even some still left (they sell out alot) then the price is ALWAYS higher. I've never heard of them being lower at a show here.

If it's a show you really want to see, pay for good tickets long in advance. If it won't kill you to miss the show, deal with a scalper outside right after the opening act. Cash talks.

not all the time. depends on what the act or performers r. most of the time they cost more cause of people getting time off to go at the last minute.
