im moving out there soon and i would like to know more about the culture and my surroundings,who im goin to be living with

It depends on what area of Houston you're going to be moving to. Downtown offers a huge variety as far as entertainment, restaurants and shows. There are other areas that have quality entertainment and restaurants along with clubs.
If you're talking about ethnic culture, we have plenty of that. Quite a few of the cultures have festivals which are a great way to get out, have some fun and experience something new.

With whom and where in the city will you be living? I live in the NW of Harris county in the suburbs. BY culture, do you mean cultural diversions: opera, theater, symphonies - we have it all.

crime has increased since katrina so you might want to check out those stats before picking a neighborhood area.
