its just irritation...if you don't have any physical reactions to hydrocortisone, (Cort-aid) put some on to get rid of the redness and irritation. You can get it at any drug store, put it on before bed wash it off in the morning, put on sun screan the rest of the day...should clear right up

This has happened to me - and yeah, it's no fun. There is something particularly sensitive about the skin around your mouth and also above your eyebrows. For some reason, these areas are more likely to get irritated and form little ingrown hairs. I had this problem and since then have never allowed the technician to use wax above my eyebrow, only underneath. Anyway, for your lip area, I'm sure it's the same situation....a product that I was recommended, called "tend skin" is pretty good. Smells awful, like vinegar, but it is quite effective if used regularly on shaved/waxed areas. For the future, I'd consider not having your lip waxed and talk to a dermatologist or even plastic surgeon about other options. I've considered doing laser hair removal...but in the meantime, I found these neat little razors that do the job quite nicely without leaving any manly stubble (which would be horrible, I know). Oh, and there are different types of wax...you may want to request a 'hard' wax next time...apparently it is easier on those sensitive areas. Good luck.

Its only a skin reaction due to the wax treatment. The pulling of the hairs you removed have opened the pores, which give that stinging sensation and make little bumps appear. They go away before you check your face the next two days.
Why you? Well that' s what happens when you wax anything!

Did they not put a soother on you after waxing? These pimples are more than likely irritates bumps similar to shaving bumps. Or it could be the kind of wax they used reacting with your skin. Give it a few days it should go away.

because now the hairs are trying to grow back out and poking against the skin, and causing ingrown hairs...
after waxing you should have cleaned well daily and used an astringent to keep the skin clean and the pores open. See a dermatologist, if you dont you get little scars and you dont want that....

they're probably not pimples but small bumps indicating your skin around your upper lips are sensitive. just be careful next time when it comes to waxing that area. you may need to tell them it's sensitive.

Quick, grab some toner\astringent and a cotton ball and swipe some on. Witch Hazel will do in a pinch. This may sting a little, but it helps, particularly if you use a salicylic acid product. You poor thing!
