in order to swim you must not be afaid of the water the water is your friend it will not harm you, you must keep repeating these things in your head over and over againl. You must go out into the pool every other day or even everyday if you are really determined to swim but do not i repeat do not enter a pool alone because all friends turn on you once in a while and the water is the most betraying friend anyone can ever have. But yeah get out there learn how to swim and keep that back in shape

At this age, (not to be hard), I would not recommend too strenuous work in trying to be able to swim. Many times, the reason swimming is recomended is to stretch the back and build resistance in your muscles, giving more strength in yor back and swimming does really well in working both. A good idea is to move around in water while treading your hand (cupping your hand while moving in water, where you feel resistance against your hand). Also while moving in the water move your body with your hands, push against the water. If you feel the resistance against your body and hands, you're doing great. For your legs, try holding on to the side and start kicking, yes, the way kids learn to swim. Start by taking in a big breath, this help keep your body afloat, slowly, without moving your body, move your whole foot it a kicking motion.
This way, you will get the benefits of swimming without having to actually swim.
If you insist on learning to swim, learn the frog style, has the least strain on the body. But it is hard to explain how to swim online. Go to a pool, try to watch how a swimmer does it and try to mimick it in th shallow end, first one or two strokes, then a few more, until you are comfortable, then trying breathing techniques associated with that form of swimming.
Its not hard if you are relaxed. Most importantly, have fun and enjoy.

Are you trying to learn to swim, or are you going for therapy? Swimming is easy. Go to the pool, get in the shallow end, take a deep breath, hold it, fall forward so that your feet leave the bottom, and relax. When you've become comfortable with that, you move your arms in a coordinated, reaching overhead motion, cupping your hands, so that you'll move forward a little. Now you can float and move a little. Next, you lay out to float, stretch your arms straight out in front of you, and kick your feet from the hip, not the knees. You'll move through the water faster. If you point your arms to the right, you'll go right, if to the left, you'll go left. Next, coordinate arm and leg movements, you're doing the crawl. Last, you must learn to coordinate your breathing with all this movement. When you reach up with your right arm, turn your head to the left, your face will come out of the water, take a quick breath through your mouth turn your head back, face down and exhale through your mouth. Practice, practice, practice, and get a coach/spotter/teacher to help you.

Most community pools have a adult 'learn to swim' class (I used to teach one). This may be an easier way to approach this, as you are with other adults in the same 'boat'. Try to relax and realize that your progress in learning how to float, float and move, etc. may be slow, but acknowledge and rejoice in any small accomplishments. Try to work through any deep rooted fears that may have kept you away from the water (e.g. childhood fall in, etc.). Remember that you are never too old to learn how to swim :)

Try to get help from young swimmers during practical learning sessions. Never go deeper than neck height. Just keep excercising even if you cannot float. Maximize use of legs rather than hands. I hope you will get satisfaction within 1-2 weeks. Best wishes!

I did shape and this is my recommendation. besides the undeniable fact that throughout my opinion I had that "variety of" skill to entice from an early age, you do no longer mandatory could desire to be like that with a view to start drawing. Ditch the books and dvd's etc for now, %. up a pencil and have a rubber in hand. Use a sparkling piece of paper and positioned something consumer-friendly in front of you which of them includes an apple, or a basket (you could then upload issues as you progression). initiate by putting very gentle rules by pressing very gently with the pencil onto the paper, do vertical lines, horizontal, curves etc which will help you draw the item (and don't worry you could erase them later). So draw one horizontal line, one vertical so as which you get a container shape in between them. Now in that container draw a circle (the apple) and then by pressing complicated attempt including info to that circle such because of the fact the curves of the apple, the stalk and the leaf as an occasion. then attempt shading it (darker close to the sides to grant intensity and cuviness) and then place shadows. it is truly no longer complicated in case you basically save training and not giving up. whether it seems undesirable to you in the start, you will get there in case you save training.

Start in the SHALLOW end. Just relax and move your arms slowly when swimming, and only propel your feet lightly. Keep doing this in the shallow end until you gain more confidence.
Not all people swim the same...take your time and it will come to you as you slowly relax and develope your own rythm.
