The earth is round for cosmic symetry.
The chicken crosses the road because it doesn't know what else to do.
We are on this earth as an educational exercise to learn something that can only be learned by being here on this earth.

The earth is round because it is BIG ENOUGH to have enough gravity to grab everything and pull it into an efficient shape. the sphere is the normal shape for non-black-hole objects above a certain mass.
The chicken crossed the road to get away from the rooster. The chicken was hoping for a stash of food on the other side, too.
We are on this earth to develop wisdom within our selves and share it when it blooms. --or we're here to hypnotize ourselves with theology. --or there is no reductionist reason for our presence. --or God was BORED and created man as a JOKE to amuse himself with an unpredictable, semi-acquatic, nearly hairless anthropoid ape.

who says earth was always round... it was a CUBE... edges just got a little worn out. thts Y it seems round.
Y did chicken cross the road?? may b it saw a sign board that read... 'Hatch Ur EGGS here' ...on the other side.
Y we R here on earth? probably coz U dnt get an Internet connection on Mars. :-)

if it was square you ask why not round,to show the raccoons how to do it,if we where on Mars you'd ask the same of it.
