There are all kinds of weird hours - the shipping industry never sleeps. FedEx is an excellent place to work if you will work for your money - excellent opportunities to move up. I can not give you any info on the online process because I did not use it and I am not familiar with it. It did take a long time to get hired but it is well worth the wait. Had to go to several interviews and also a couple telephone interviews, took about 3 months. If you have a good attitude, like to work hard and are respectful to others then you will enjoy it. I picked FedEx because it is non-union. I have worked with companies that are union and have never liked it. Hope this helps and good luck.
