You can get quite a fair bit anywhere around Singapore. However if you want them at lesser price, just avoid buying at tourist-frquented areas. Many shops do carry same items for less.
However, I believe the real souvenir in Singapore will come from intangible means, like the cosmopolitan food flavours, both local and international, the people and the country as a whole. Do take your time to take in these besides the souvenirs.

China Town and Bugis Street!
It's unbelievably cheap as compared to other places in Singapore!
they sell all sorts of things! Silk or cotton traditional clothes, keychains of high quality but very cheap, accessories made from jade or fine wood. basically all the souvenirs that foreigners like. It's really great :) i just went to China Town today! it again reminded me that China Town is the one of the cheapest place to go shopping in singapore!

My lecturer bought coasters made with pressed orchids - national flower of Singapore - that are really pretty. You can get them at tourist spots in Singapore.
