Roger Cedeno is the correct answer. Interesting note, that of all the many steals in career steals leader Rickey "I am the Greatest" Henderson's career, only four, that is 4, were of home plate.

Hope this helps!

Home plate is stolen a couple of times on a yearly basis during a pitch. However a "straight steal," which happens before a pitch while the pitcher is setting up on the rubber is much rarer. The last to accomplish this feat was Roger Cedeno on June 29th 2002, against the New York Yankees. Prior to Cedeno the last straight steal was 15 years earlier.

Unfortunately this is not a separately recorded, official statistic in MLB. Here is a bunch more info on it though. It gives the dates when someone stole 2nd, 3rd, and home in the same inning. Last time was 1996. I'm not sure about the answer to your actual question though.

I remember Roger Cedano doing it for the Mets in 2000, but I'm sure someone has done it since.

it happens more often that u might think . if theres runners on both 1st and 3rd, and the runner on first starts to steal 2nd and when cather throws it the guy on 3rd takes off for home and makes it , he gets the stolen base.
