In Nigeria, there are few doctors. So others should be able to do this.

I know in the U.S. Physician's Assistants can prescribe as long as they are working under a physician. They can write prescriptions using their own names. I don't know about Nigeria though.

Yes, there are some others who can prescribe medicine in the U.S. Dentists, for example, can prescribe medicines and some optometrists, with special training, and also write prescriptions.
