Get the stitches out as early as possible. Always keep the scar moist with any kind of ointment. It is the moisture not the vitamins or antibiotics which helps. In fact neosporin which contains neomycin can make the situation worse. Good luck and stay moist!

There are a few products out that help with this that you can find at Walmart. Neosporin works well if you apply it 3 times a day for a few weeks after the stiches come out. Some say popping a Vit E capsule and rubbing it on the scar will help.
