My daughter says she barfs each time she has to do it.
She tries to only do it every other day.

Maybe she barfs whenever in close contact with the child, and not only when she's changing it. Perhaps she feels a deep regret for naming it Noodle, and gets sick at the very sight of it? Just a possibility.

First off, I would sincerely hope that SOMEONE is changing the baby's diaper if it's mother can only stand to do so every couple of days.

Secondly, I can see how changing a diaper would make one throw up. After all, it's not one of the most pleasant experiences one does. What is it about doing so that makes your daughter sick? If it's the smell, why not use nose plugs like swimmers wear while changing the baby? Is she grossed out at the thought of getting any on her hands? Try wearing gloves like nurses and EMT's wear.

I have gotten sick when changing my kids' diapers. But I don't let it sit to the point where I have to wear a mask to breathe. I made sure I changed their diapers right when they did it this way I would avoid flies. But I have never actually thrown up over changing a diaper. If you have a child that is one of the responsibilities, and its a very important one.

One other thing, make sure that babies diaper is changed often. My youngest who is almost 7 months is in a foster home (he's coming home on the 30th of June) and he actually got a staph infection from not being properly taken care of (cleanliness).

That's called neglect and you can get in some pretty hefty trouble for that, JAIL TIME.

It is not normal.

And if the baby is only being changed every other day, the poor baby is going to get a terrible infected diaper rash and you need to be there to protect the baby. If your daughter is so immature she can't deal with diapers, she is not ready to be a mother.

If she can think of someone other than herself, she can try elimination communication with the baby, which is much harder, but not as messy as changing diapers.

Ok, guys, she never said that the baby only gets changed every other day - she said that her DAUGHTER only changes the diaper every other day. Doesn't mean that someone else doesn't do it. If she is ill, it's not her fault.

I've never heard of any mother like that. I was a caregiver, and I threw up when I changed the diapers. air freshiner is a good thing.

Has she mentioned to her Doctor what is going on. Plus you say she tries to do it every other day. What are you referring to. Does she trade off with someone to change the baby's diaper. If she does not she can be reported for abuse and neglect. Hopefully the doctor might be able to help with her problem.

If it bothers her that much, she can purchase a gas mask at the local Lowes store. It sounds silly, but it will probably work because it will eliminate the smell while she is changing diapers.

Please tell me someone is changing baby's diapers when needed!

she probably just has a weak stomach and can't take it she needs to keep trying and get over the feeling that it is going to make her puke. I know sometimes I feel like throwing up when I change some diapers.
