I don't understand how the game of basketball is 'just' a game to me basketball is life, it is what i breath, eat, and sleep and then there is more to it, specifically college basketball, college basketball is more than just a game! so why do most people say that it is 'just' a game cause to me it is not!

I think people say that because in all things there must be balance. You must seek balance in yourself - if you devote everything to one thing, what suffers? Enjoy what you love, fuel your passions... just stick your head out every once in a while to see what else is going on.

The main reason for the saying is because of basketball being an integral part of the american life. It comes natural to the average american as pan,soca and calypso to a trinbagonian. Basket ball is just a game, not a war.
