This is just an educated guess, but it makes sense to me- Typically men are exposed to more toxins as a job hazard (mechanics, laborers, etc..) which will accumulate in the blood stream and affect the liver and kidneys more harshly leading to an earlier death.
Like I said, just a guess, but doesn't it make sense?

The same answer you will hear from everyone, women are less stressed then men therefore they are healthier, so they live longer.

I think women are also more comfortable with expressing their emotions, and also with crying .. all of which are healthy. Men generally speaking repress a lot of that and this has an effect on physical health.

if you are constantly thinking of how to feed 3 more mouths than yours, and if they look up to you as the head of the household, then that is one huge stress that may be one reason why men die earlier. I emphasize : that may be one major reason.
