To get wireless internet on a laptop...

1. Get a laptop, most have internal wireless NIC these days. If yours doesn't than you can get an expansion card for your laptop.
2. Get a wireless router, and configure it.
3. Get a internet connection.

Then your done, although a few calls to technical support might be in the making
