My friend says Ecuador beat Argentina and Brasil last year so they are far better that Costa Rica who only beat USA and Trinidad & Tobago.
So does Costa Rica have a real shot at beating Ecuador? I want to bet him on this.

I think it is possible, however if Ecuador plays like it did last game, Costa Rica has no chance.

I don't think your friend knows that much about soccer...but...there has been a couple fo surprises in this world cup...so any of those teams can win...Costa Rica has has a real good offender who scored 2 goals against Germany and his name is Wanchope...so like i said any team can win
