By the fact that Magic the Gathering was the first of its kind and unlike many others that have come and gone is still out there. Also the fact that there is a Pro Tour where people can make nice cash and prestige for Magic and not Yu Gi Oh! My thought has to be that Magic far outstrips any and all other card games.

1st thing, it's yugioh not yogioh. and i thing that yugi is definately a better game than magic the gathering because it's a super stratergical game. it keeps ur mind running all the time. the combo's of cards are the favourites of mine. and moreover yugioh is very simple. even my 6 yr old brother can play yugioh quite well.

I think yu-gi-oh is much better, only because the game is much easier to understand than magic the gathering.

while i prefer decipher's star wars and Lord of the Rings tcg I would have to go with Magic the Gathering out of your two choices

Both games have there pros and cons. I like them both. I like the artwork (Japanese artwork for Yugioh,don't like the US artwork because it's butcherized (edited)) and the artwork for Magic The Gathering has allways been appealing in both fanstasy,realistic sense for me.
